Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering, a leading supplier of contract textiles and wallcovering, is seeking a Graphic Designer with strong production skills and an eye for brand elevation in the Midwest region.

Reporting to the Brand Communications Manager, the Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of visual identity for the Momentum brand. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for concepting, developing, designing, and executing a variety of projects. This position will join a cross-functional Marketing team working on all customer-facing initiatives such as print, website, social media, tradeshows, events, and sales tools.

The Graphic Designer must keep current on design and brand appropriate trends and contribute to the development of Momentum’s thought leadership inspirational efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain brand consistency across all channels by applying approved templates and brand guidelines, while seeking opportunities for thoughtful improvements.
Assist in developing digital and print materials for product launches, sales tools, tradeshows and more.
Edit, proof and hyperlink all digital marketing assets.
Create print ready files for outside print agencies.
Collaborate with cross functional marketing team members on various projects.
Assist in creating visual direction and outputting social media content.
Assist in creating digital assets for all Momentum’s marketing channels while innovating and brainstorming new ways of evolving the brand.
Manage multiple creative assets within fast-paced production deadlines, maintaining perfect accuracy and version control. Take creative direction from creative, marketing and key sales team members and translate into clear and compelling visuals with minimal revision cycles.
Organize and archive digital files using our team’s shared system and naming conventions.
Support tradeshow and showroom marketing efforts by designing graphics, signage, and collateral in coordination with activations.
Actively and frequently research the Momentum customer, their aesthetics, current trends, cultural touchpoints, and brand competitors.
Benchmark and develop an action plan for staying in line with brand competition.
Committed to meeting deadlines, taking ownership and doing whatever it takes to complete on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic arts/design, related field or equivalent.
5+ years of professional experience in a design agency, in-house firm or brand/manufacturer.
4+ years of social media experience.
Experience, education and/or interest in interior design or fashion related industry highly desired.
Strong portfolio demonstrating production and layout skills with examples of original creative work.
Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop. XD/Premiere/Final Cut a plus.
Advanced knowledge in digital and print best practices, layout design and typography.
Good understanding of web technologies and standards. Protyping a plus (XD, Sketch, Figma) preferred.
Motion graphics or video experience a plus.
Passion for visual story-telling, brand-building and staying on top of current design trends.
A keen eye for details and high-end design aesthetic.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Comfortable working in hybrid or remote team environments using tools like Asana, Teams, and Sharepoint to communicate and collaborate.
Ability to express a creative point of view and the ability to execute.
Position located in the Midwest region preferred.
