Summary
We are seeking an organized and experienced Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between our marketing agency and a portfolio of 20–25 small to mid-sized business clients. This is a fully remote, client-facing role focused on relationship management, communication, and service—not campaign execution—across SEO, Google Ads, and website support.
The Account Manager is responsible for delivering a high level of customer service through regular client check-ins, proactive updates, and coordination with internal teams. Your ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and keep campaigns on track will be essential to ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
While you won’t be managing digital campaigns directly, a strong working knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, and digital marketing best practices is required to confidently guide conversations, interpret reports, and support client goals. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role includes commission opportunities tied to retention and growth within your portfolio.

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of 20–25 small to mid-sized business accounts across various industries
Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular communication and strategic touchpoints
Act as the primary point of contact for all client communication, updates, and meeting coordination
Lead regularly scheduled meetings and check-ins to review account performance, gather feedback, and ensure alignment
Deliver outstanding customer service—ensuring timely responses, follow-ups, and thorough documentation of client interactions
Coordinate with internal departments and partners (SEO, design, development, PPC, content) to keep deliverables on track
Monitor account health, proactively flag potential issues, and ensure clients feel informed and supported
Communicate client goals and project priorities to internal teams and ensure expectations are met
Present reports and results clearly, helping clients understand the value of our work and identifying upsell opportunities when appropriate
Track all action items and client notes, keeping CRM and project management systems up to date
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of account management or client success experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency or creative services environment
Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with high attention to detail
Strong understanding of digital marketing services including SEO, PPC (Google Ads), web design, and content strategy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently lead client meetings and articulate strategies or outcomes
Highly organized with a proactive mindset and exceptional follow-through
Comfortable working remotely and independently, while collaborating with a distributed team
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, WordPress, Google Search Console, and CRM/project management platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, HubSpot)
Experience working with small businesses or local service-based companies is a plus
Must be a U.S. resident and citizen; candidates based in Michigan are strongly preferred
