Senior Software Engineer – Backend (.NET)

Location- Bizkaia Basque Country SPAIN

Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Senior ASP.NET Web API Developer to join a growing IT team. The ideal candidate has strong backend development expertise, excellent collaboration skills, and experience working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners to gather requirements and define user stories.
• Work closely with Front-End developers to design API integrations and system interactions.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design and optimize database architecture.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and support of developed solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ASP.NET development (.NET 6 preferred).
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and backend best practices.
• 3+ years of experience with Entity Framework and backend testing.
• Experience with cloud-based microservices architectures is a plus.
• Experience deploying and maintaining backend applications using Azure, IIS, or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (B2+).
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous but not required.
