- This is a contract-based, fully remote opportunity. Payment is based on actual hours worked (85-day billing cycle). No dual employment is allowed unless explicitly mentioned. The contractor is expected to work full-time (8 hours/day).
Job Overview
- Join the Content Ops team to build intelligent, scalable backend systems that support the classification and labeling of content across the platform. You will work with large volumes of data, integrate LLMs for content parsing and classification, and ensure automation and optimization of key workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation systems with error handling, observability, and fallback logic
- Integrate LLMs for parsing and multi-round refinement of terabytes of content
- Architect scalable systems that align with long-term classification goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
- Contribute across the development lifecycle including design, test, experimentation, and launch
- Develop and maintain robust APIs (GraphQL, REST)
- Optimize data flows, debug integration issues, and ensure system performance
- Follow best practices in CI/CD, testing, design docs, and code reviews
- Participate in team planning, reviews, and agile ceremonies
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of backend development experience
- Expertise in Python (Golang is a strong plus)
- Experience building distributed, microservice-based system
- Skilled in GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and API design
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Memcached, SQL, NoSQL
- Proficiency in high-throughput system design and maintenance
- Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Exposure to machine learning systems and automation pipelines
