Job Overview
- A leading global chemicals manufacturer is seeking an experienced Regional Manager – Marketing & Business Development to drive growth of its Rubber Grades (Carbon Black segment) across Europe, with a focus on Belgium and Germany.
- The role involves leading sales strategy, managing customer and distributor relationships, and supporting technical development initiatives to position the company as a preferred supplier in the European market.
- This is an individual contributor role reporting to the global business leadership team in India, with support from a third-party payroll partner in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and marketing strategies for Rubber Grades in the European market.
- Achieve sales targets in both volume and profitability.
- Manage customer relationships and provide sales and technical service support.
- Identify opportunities and grades to develop for key customers through proper segmentation.
- Coordinate with technical teams (India) and customers for product approval and development.
- Track and analyze competitor activity, pricing trends, and new product introductions.
- Support supply chain coordination, collections, and payment remittance to headquarters.
- Strengthen the brand identity of the company’s chemical grades through differentiation in quality and service.
- Facilitate senior management visits and represent the organization in key business meetings and industry events.
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) and MBA in Marketing.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5+ years in B2B Sales / Technical Sales / Marketing in the Rubber or Carbon Black industry.
- Strong understanding of Rubber Blacks and related technical applications.
- Proven experience in international markets and customer relationship management.
- Experience with Carbon Black manufacturers or distributors.
- Excellent communication and networking skills in European industrial markets.
- Must be willing to travel extensively across Europe.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to tire industry clients or specialty additives.
- Prior experience working with global teams and multi-country business environments.
- Multilingual ability (English + French / German preferred).
