Senior Email Marketing Manager

What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of all email, push, and SMS campaigns, including newsletters and promotional sends. Collaborate with the product team to design and develop automated lifecycle flows and triggered messages.
- Manage business-grade email sending systems using platforms like Amazon SES, SparkPost and Klaviyo; monitor and improve domain/IP reputation, deliverability and inbox placement over time. Troubleshooting blacklists/spam issues, and leveraging analytics tools to ensure high performance and compliance with email marketing best practices.
- Build and refine audience segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
- Analyze email performance metrics and A/B test results to inform future strategies and continuously improve results.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Evaluate and manage email tools, automation platforms, and integrations with CRM and analytics systems.
- Own email calendar planning in coordination with product launches, promotions, and cross-channel campaigns.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in email marketing, ideally with exposure to lifecycle or CRM strategy in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing, retention strategies, and customer segmentation.
- Experience collaborating with social media and creative/design teams on integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, SparkPost, Amazon SES, SparkPost, etc; proficient in configuring and maintaining email infrastructure (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS), monitoring domain/IP reputation, optimizing deliverability and inbox placement, troubleshooting blacklists/spam issues, and leveraging analytics tools to ensure high performance and compliance with email marketing best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email (basic knowledge acceptable).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced e-commerce or digital-first environment is a plus.

- Experience working in both start-up and established corporate environments.
- Experience building email programs from scratch and managing email programs at scale.
