Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting our backend architecture and APIs, ensuring our platform remains reliable, scalable, and efficient. In this role, you will be responsible for high performance, availability and scalability for our platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality across the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Deployment and Maintenance: Oversee the deployment process and ensure the reliability and scalability of applications in production environments.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Python development.
• Proven track record of building and deploying large-scale applications.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Proficient in RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal coding portfolio.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Being bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
