About Us
Mint Source is a remote-first bridge that connects vibrant talent with international clients and agencies, enabling skilled individuals to showcase their expertise on a global stage.
Role Overview
Mint Source is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer (Static Ads) to support a performance marketing agency that scales e-commerce brands through full-funnel ad campaigns and in-house creative production. You'll design ads using various styles of typography and layouts that stop the scroll and communicate fast. The role leans 80% independent work with focused collaboration alongside other designers, and as a senior on the team, you'll help raise the craft bar, share patterns that speed production, and bring a sharper creative POV to ad concepting. Success looks like consistently hitting weekly quotas of approved designs while maintaining quality, consistency, and speed. It's a great fit if you enjoy rapid creative testing, smart constraints, and using AI extensively to accelerate your work.
What You'll Do
- Design static ad creatives that use strong typography, hierarchy, and layout to drive attention and clarity
- Translate simple briefs and brand guidelines into multiple on-brand variations for testing
- Use Photoshop as your primary design tool for fast, precise production and retouching; leverage Figma as a secondary tool for layout systems and feedback
- Use AI tools extensively to ideate, explore styles, and generate efficient variations without sacrificing craft
- Produce 9-10 composites per day consistently while maintaining design quality
- Iterate based on feedback, simplifying messages to what matters most
- Bring a senior creative POV to ad concepting, pushing past safe executions and contributing ideas that improve performance, not just polish
- Help raise the craft bar across the design team by sharing patterns, templates, and best practices that speed production
- Communicate timelines, blockers, and tradeoffs proactively through written channels (Slack, email)
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of graphic design experience, with a portfolio that highlights ad creatives or conversion-minded visuals across multiple brands or categories
- High proficiency in Photoshop (this is your must-have tool) for compositing, typography, and rapid iteration under deadlines
- Comfort working in Figma for layouts, components, and collaborative reviews
- Fluent use of AI tools in your design process, with a body of AI-assisted work in your portfolio. You'll be using AI extensively with this team, and we want someone with a clear point of view on where it adds value and where it doesn't
- Experience creating advertisements is required; Facebook or paid social experience is a plus
- A strong opinion on what makes ads convert, not just what looks good. Able to push back on briefs and propose stronger directions
- Evidence of leading, mentoring, or setting standards for other designers is a plus
- Thoughtful and methodical approach, balancing creativity with disciplined file hygiene and consistency
- Calm under pressure with strong prioritization skills to meet daily and weekly quotas without cutting corners
- Clear written communicator who thrives in an 80% independent, 20% collaborative workflow and welcomes feedback
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Number of approved designs shipped per week, consistently meeting agreed targets (9-10 composites/day)
- Quality bar maintained across composites, with minimal revision cycles and consistent on-brand execution
- Contribution to team craft standards, including patterns, templates, or feedback that improve output across other designers
- 30/60/90 ramp: by 30 days, ramped to full daily quota with consistent quality; by 60 days, contributing creative direction beyond brief execution; by 90 days, recognized as a craft leader on the team and influencing how the wider design pod ships work
- Regular check-ins (weekly/monthly) to review output quality, flag blockers, and align on priorities
What You Get
- $1,600-1,800 USD/month based on experience
- Remote-first setup with clear priorities, structured feedback loops, and regularly scheduled check-ins
- High-volume, real-world projects that sharpen your eye for performance and messaging
- Autonomy to own your work, plus collaboration with a skilled design team
- Opportunities to grow your AI-enabled design toolkit and build scalable creative systems
- International exposure through Mint Source's network and a predictable work schedule
- Back-office support from Mint Source for payroll, onboarding, and HR
