Senior Software Engineer - Go (m/w/d)

At Mindful.com, we are building the first platform in the DACH region that brings movement, breath and meditation together in one place. Our mission is to build great products with talented people that contribute to a more mindful world. Our launch is in Q1 2026.

To support this mission, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Go). You will help us build and scale our microservices architecture, ensuring our systems are robust, maintainable, and future-proof.

Your role:

• Build and maintain backend services for our app/platform
• Design efficient gRPC APIs for service-to-service communication
• Manage builds, tests, and deployments with Bazel
• Run and scale services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Kubernetes
• Contribute to a clean, modular microservices architecture

• A clean and scalable architecture that makes development fast and easy across teams
• Highly reliable, secure, and well-documented services that integrate smoothly across the platform
• Efficient CI/CD pipelines that let us ship quickly and with confidence

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Go and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with gRPC, Kubernetes, GCP, and Bazel
• Good communication skills in a remote setup

Engagement:

• Weekly hours: Freelance, ~20–30h/week (Hiring full-time might be an option as well)
• Start: As soon as possible
• Time horizon: 3–6 months, with potential for long-term collaboration
• Rate: €70–100/hour (Freelance)
