Sr Software Engineer - Microsof Dynamics 365 F&O

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining D365 F&O solutions in a production environment. The ideal candidate brings deep platform expertise, a strong DevOps mindset, and a forward-thinking approach to leveraging AI tools in day-to-day development.

Core Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain customizations, extensions, and integrations within D365 F&O using X++

- Lead and manage end-to-end production code deployments, ensuring zero-downtime releases and rollback readiness

- Own the CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance using Azure DevOps, including build definitions, release pipelines, and environment management

- Manage source control workflows using Git and/or TFS — branching strategies, pull request reviews, merge conflict resolution

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on production incidents and defects; document findings and implement permanent fixes

- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Actively use and advocate AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude) for code generation, review, and RCA acceleration

- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and ALM governance

- Support LCS (Lifecycle Services) environment management, deployable package creation, and hotfix coordination

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Required Skills

- Proficiency in X++, .NET, and D365 extension/over layering patterns

- Proven experience managing production deployments via LCS and Azure DevOps pipelines

- Strong working knowledge of Git and/or TFS — branching, merging, tagging, release management

- Experience with Azure DevOps: boards, repos, pipelines, and artifact management

- Solid understanding of D365 F&O architecture — AOT, data entities, DMF, batch framework, workflow

- Experience with integrations: OData, custom services, Logic Apps, Power Automate, or third-party middleware

- Strong analytical and debugging skills — able to trace, profile, and resolve complex production issues

- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate (MB-500)

- Experience working with external ISV solutions (AMCS, TAS, or similar)

- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and demonstrated use in a professional development context

- Exposure to D365 version upgrade projects

- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) alongside D365

Qualifications

- BTech / MTech, in computer science or related field

- 5+ years of hands-on D365 F&O / AX development experience

- Clear communicator who can bridge technical complexity and business impact

- Continuous learner who stays current with Microsoft's D365 roadmap and platform updates
