6 Month W2 Contract (Remote)

The ideal candidate will have experience integrating AI into engineering workflows. This role will entail developing an autonomous AI agent to automate network circuit management to reduce manual troubleshooting problems. Seeking a candidate with strong development in Python (80% coding, 20% documentation).

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to assist the next evolution of our automation and self-help solutions. In this pivotal role, you will build scalable tools that empower internal teams and improve system reliability and velocity. You'll work with a team of automation engineers focused on enhancing developer and operational workflows across our infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with FastAPI and Slack API a plus.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with Agentic AI tools, LLMs, MCPs and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Hands-on experience building automation pipelines and managing distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into engineering workflows (e.g., RAG architecture, agentic development environments).
• Background in infrastructure operations is a plus.
• Passion for building innovative, developer-friendly platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop self-service tools and solutions to support our client's infrastructure and operations.
• Mentor a team of engineers focused on automation and platform stability.
• Build integrations and custom tooling using Python and infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Architect agent-based and AI-assisted tooling to support internal engineering teams.
• Support CI/CD processes, testing automation, and environment management at scale.

The estimated pay range for this position is $70-78/hr. (W2) based on experience.
