About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to lead and optimize multi-channel digital campaigns that accelerate patient acquisition, drive New Patient Visits (NPVs), and support scalable growth across our network of ophthalmology and optometry practices.
In this high-impact role, you'll work across paid media, local SEO, website optimization, marketing automation, and reputation management. You'll play a key role in building infrastructure, tracking campaign effectiveness, and aligning with operations and clinical leadership to ensure measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Digital Advertising: Plan and execute campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, programmatic display, and local platforms to drive patient acquisition and NPV growth.
- Campaign Optimization: Manage targeting, creative testing, CPA and ROAS performance; ensure campaigns stay within budget while achieving conversion goals.
- Creative Collaboration: Work with internal teams or agencies on ad creative and landing pages aligned with service lines and geographic priorities.
- Local SEO & Listings: Oversee optimization of Google Business Profiles, directory listings (e.g., Yext), and local keyword strategy to improve organic visibility.
- Reputation Management: Implement workflows for review generation, monitoring, and responses in partnership with operations and clinical teams.
- Web Presence: Maintain and optimize landing pages across practice websites (e.g., cataract, LASIK, retina, dry eye) with a focus on conversion.
- CRO & Testing: Lead A/B tests and CRO experiments to increase lead-to-patient conversion and streamline scheduling experiences.
- Marketing Infrastructure: Manage tracking and attribution systems (Google Analytics, CallRail, marketing automation, CRM/EMR).
- Performance Reporting: Build dashboards and deliver reporting on funnel metrics, campaign ROI, fill rates, and impact on practice performance.
- Email & SMS Campaigns: Design and deploy HIPAA-compliant campaigns to drive retention, reactivation, and upsell of premium services.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with operations, call center, integration, and clinical teams to ensure programs match business priorities and capacity.
- Patient Communication: Identify opportunities for patient education and post-visit engagement to improve Lifetime Value (LTV) and satisfaction.
- Social Media Support: Maintain working knowledge of organic social media; assist in execution when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally in healthcare, multi-location services, or a PE-backed platform business
- Deep expertise in Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, local SEO, and conversion optimization
- Proven track record of generating measurable growth in lead volume, patient acquisition, and revenue across multiple markets
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, call tracking (e.g., CallRail), and marketing automation platforms like HubSpot
- Strong understanding of HIPAA-compliant marketing and patient data privacy
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or a related medical specialty
- Familiarity with EMR/CRM systems (e.g., Nextech, Allscripts)
- Understanding of healthcare call center workflows and scheduling processes
- Basic knowledge of CMS/web tools (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Unbounce)
