Job Summary
Join our customer's team as an AI Data Scientist, where you will harness your expertise in AI, ML, and Generative AI to drive advancements in digital healthcare and clinical trial optimization. This is a dynamic opportunity to transform how clinical research data is collected, analyzed, and interpreted, making a tangible impact on patient outcomes through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI/ML and GenAI solutions to optimize clinical trial operations, including patient recruitment, retention, and real-time data monitoring.
- Support the development of advanced GenAI applications for automating the generation of clinical trial documentation such as medical reports, study protocols, and patient narratives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to build digital healthcare tools that enhance data collection and patient engagement.
- Engineer predictive and generative AI models utilizing diverse healthcare datasets (EHRs, wearables, patient-reported outcomes, HEOR, phase IV studies).
- Apply natural language processing and large language models (LLMs) to medical text analysis and research interpretation for clinical applications.
- Ensure all AI/ML solutions comply with regulatory standards and data privacy requirements.
- Leverage cloud-based platforms (especially AWS) for scalable model deployment and MLOps practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience with at least 1 year applying AI/ML techniques to healthcare or clinical research data.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar, with hands-on expertise in modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Proven experience working with generative AI technologies, including LLM architectures and frameworks.
- Experience designing and developing digital healthcare applications and tools.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication to convey complex technical information effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud services (especially AWS) and best practices in version control and MLOps deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing AI/ML solutions within a healthcare or clinical research environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare data integration and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of advanced digital healthcare tool design and patient engagement strategies.
