Our client is a global leader in surgical innovation, focused on advancing technologies that improve outcomes for both patients and providers. They are seeking a Senior Regional Marketing Manager to drive downstream marketing strategy and execution across the region.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing marketing strategies, leading product launches, supporting field execution, and ensuring the commercial success of a highly technical product portfolio.
The position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, product management, and clinical teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive downstream marketing strategies and tactics aligned to business objectives and commercial targets, based on market research and competitor analysis
- Lead regional product launches in close collaboration with upstream product management, driving launch strategies, generating marketing materials, and executing commercialization programs including sales readiness training
- Partner with Marketing Communications to manage and enhance brand presence through marketing campaigns, convention strategy, and tailored collateral with clear product positioning and messaging
- Provide strategic and prioritized direction to the sales organization through marketing plans, training presentations, and ongoing communication
- Stay connected to customer needs and market trends by building relationships with KOLs, customers, and industry stakeholders to inform product launch plans and regional strategies
- Develop and deploy customer engagement programs, including advocacy initiatives, congress activities, and experience events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, professional affairs, market development, and regulatory affairs to drive market expansion strategies
- Act as a subject matter expert on the product portfolio, championing and communicating the value proposition internally and externally
- Ensure marketing activities comply with industry regulations and company standards
- Travel to customer sites to support clinical cases, training programs, and key industry events
- Manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation
Key Requirements
- Minimum of five years of product marketing, clinical or marketing, or field sales experience within medical devices or capital equipment with highly technical products
- Proven experience in downstream marketing including scaled product launches
- Strong ability to analyze market and financial data and translate insights into actionable strategy
- Ability to establish credibility quickly with customers, KOLs, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive for results
- Track record of working effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
- Travel across Europe ~20%
