Project Manager - Be a Catalyst for Innovation in Oncology R&D

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to contribute to the success of our diverse portfolio of oncology R&D programs.
In this role, you will manage projects across various stages of the drug development lifecycle, from early-phase (IND ready to Ph1-2) to late-phase (Ph3 and beyond) clinical trials and life cycle management. You will collaborate closely with the Head of PPMO, Senior Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution and the achievement of key milestones.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, with the flexibility to be based in Florence or work remotely.
What You Will Do:
- Under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, execute project plans to achieve defined objectives, manage budgets effectively, and adhere to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain critical project documentation, including agendas, meeting minutes, Gantt charts, project trackers, stakeholder charts, risk management tools, and communication plans.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication, effective decision-making, and alignment among team members.
- Support the budgeting process, monitor budget utilization, and track project expenditures to ensure financial accountability.
- Proactively monitor project progress, analyze results, and provide timely and accurate reports to project stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to ensure project success.
- Ensure that all project activities are conducted in compliance with established R&D project governance and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular updates to Senior Project Managers, fostering a collaborative, professional, and inclusive team environment.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, empowering asset development teams to achieve their goals.
What You Bring:
- Master's degree or PhD in a scientific discipline, with relevant experience in oncology development.
- Strong ability to understand and manage data within the context of oncology clinical trials.
- Solid understanding of clinical development principles across different phases and life cycle management.
- Preferred: 5+ years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical R&D industry.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
- Familiarity with agile development methodology and the ability to thrive in a matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
- Fluent English language proficiency (written and spoken).
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Preferred: Project Management certification and experience in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
