Brief Summary

We are seeking a creative, engaging, and energetic team Marketing Coordinator to join our exceptional Marketing team. As a Marketing Coordinator you will play a key role in executing a variety of marketing initiatives that support brand visibility, community engagement, and organizational goals. This highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive team member assists with community impact events and activities, product promotions, volunteer scheduling and support, and contributing to follow‑up reporting. They collaborate closely with marketing partners across the department to ensure plans are carried out effectively and consistently. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator helps manage general marketing functions, including communications, market research, inventory tracking, image library management, and workflow organization—to keep projects moving smoothly and maintain an efficient, well‑coordinated marketing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support community impact and outreach initiatives by preparing event materials, coordinating onsite logistics, managing promotional inventory, maintaining organized event documentation, and assisting with trade shows and volunteer/event tracking.

  • Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns by helping select targets and channels, developing content and creative assets, ensuring compliance and brand consistency, deploying messages, and supporting reporting and workflow organization.

  • Create and source content for social media by gathering photography, testimonials, and news, developing posts aligned with brand and compliance standards, and helping monitor and respond to comments, reviews, and partner engagement.

  • Collaborate with marketing strategists and department leaders to support campaign planning, contribute ideas to drive member engagement, and maintain organized project assets and communication channels.

  • Provide general marketing support through internal and external communications, scheduling and preparing for department meetings, managing inventory and interoffice distribution, and assisting with employee events and non‑marketing communications.

  • Support broader marketing initiatives such as segmentation strategies, membership‑growth opportunities, and member‑engagement programs that promote product and service usage.

  • Contribute to annual planning activities, including the creation of the marketing plan, department calendar, and budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Two or more years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital marketing, preferably within a financial institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One or more years of experience in event planning, logistics, volunteer schedule coordination, and inventory management.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities, supported by strong organizational skills, resource coordination, problem‑solving abilities, and sound evaluative judgment.

  • Proven experience overseeing and developing projects or programs from concept through completion with accuracy, follow‑through, and the ability to analyze challenges and make effective decisions.

  • Solid understanding of credit union departments and their functions, enabling effective collaboration and supporting the organization’s commitment to exceptional member service.

  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to promote high morale, professionalism, and enthusiasm—both internally and in representing the credit union externally.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for events, training, and special credit union activities.

  • You must be located in Duluth or surrounding area.

Schedule

  • Schedule will vary, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends depending on company sponsored events.

Wage & Hour Details

  • Full-time

  • Pay is hourly

  • Starting pay range: $24.50-$29.00/hr., pay commensurate with experience
