A Day in the Life
To support Medtronic’s vision to advance the Electrophysiology (EP) field, we are seeking an experienced and highly connected Marketing Program Manager – Customer Engagement. This strategic role is essential in developing a holistic, end-to-end customer engagement strategy—spanning early-stage product development and upstream collaborations to training & education, pre-launch initiatives, launch execution, and post-launch customer advocacy.
In the role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions builds and strengthens relationships across multiple touchpoints—driving impactful participation in upstream initiatives, clinical collaborations, large-scale events, and educational programs. By shaping a structured, multi-level engagement strategy, this position will be instrumental in enhancing customer loyalty, advocacy, and Medtronic’s leadership in the EP space.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- End-to-End Customer Engagement Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan that connects customers across their entire journey—from early involvement in upstream projects and clinical collaborations to launch execution and post-launch advocacy.
- Upstream Collaboration & Voice of Customer (VOC): Partner with cross functional teams to engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) in key next gen projects, ensuring continuous customer input into product development.
- Pre-Launch & Launch Execution: Orchestrate pre-launch engagement programs to build excitement and ensure seamless adoption during launch. Post-launch, drive customer advocacy initiatives through structured advisory boards, peer-to-peer exchanges, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Major Event & Congress Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale congresses, symposia, summits, and advisory boards, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and drive meaningful engagement.
- Training & Education Excellence: Partner with T&E teams to create impactful, value-driven educational programs that enhance customer experience, clinical proficiency, and product adoption.
- Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between global and European marketing, clinical, product development, and training teams, ensuring seamless execution across multiple engagement initiatives. Leverage an extensive EP network to maximize collaboration opportunities across Western Europe.
- Strategic Program Management: Lead multiple, high-visibility projects, ensuring flawless execution, timely delivery, and maximum impact. Continuously enhance engagement frameworks and processes for efficiency. Lead operational aspects of project management, execute short- and long- term engagement planning.
Required Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, plus an advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (e.g., MBA).
- 15+ years of experience in program management tied to customer engagement, marketing, training & education, or related fields in electrophysiology.
- Established network of connections in the EP space across Western Europe (KOLs, early-career EP experts, heart rhythm society partners etc) with proven experience in orchestrating holistic customer engagement strategies, as well as strong track record in planning and executing large-scale congresses, advisory boards, and high-profile customer programs.
- Top-tier project management skills—ability to drive complex, multi-functional initiatives with efficiency and precision, along with exceptional collaboration and influencing skills—ability to build relationships and gain buy-in from multiple internal and external stakeholders, as well as exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset—capable of working autonomously while driving impactful outcomes while also navigating a fast-paced, matrixed environment and balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluent in English with availability to travel for business purposes all across Europe for a 40-50% of working time.
