Medix is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for a full-time opportunity with one of our best clients - a SaaS Software Organization specialized in the Clinical Research / Clinical Trials industry.

Their flagship application is a suite of products that help manage end-to-end Clinical Research / Clinical trials - from award, through startup, execution, management and analytics.

This Sr. Software Engineer will be joining the organization as a visionary and technical leader, to help modernize and scale the flagship product - a suite of applications built in PHP, MariaDB/MySQL and JavaScript. This role will contribute to the design and architecture of a new API-first approach, modern application.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serving as a Lead Individual contributor / Senior Software Engineer on a growing team
• Contributing to the development of features for an API-first based, full-stack suite of applications built in PHP and Python.
• Working with proven experience in the application stack, both on the back-end and on the front-end with PHP 7-8, JavaScript and MariaDB (MySQL)
• Embracing and promoting a kaizen approach of continuous improvement and best-practices for software development
• Contributing to the best solutions for scaling the application

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Required Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering
• 7-10+ years professional experience as a Software Developer
• Experience in the design architecture and development of full-stack web applications in both PHP and Python
• 5+ years with PHP (PHP 7-8) and PHP APIs
• Experienced in developing a variety of PHP Applications - from MVC to API and container based
• Expertise in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
• Expertise with SQL / MariaDB
• Experience with Python preferred
• Engineering and software development best-practices
