Role Overview
As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will help shape the technical direction of Medium’s web platform and the systems that power our reader and writer experiences.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role. You’ll lead complex frontend initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and establish patterns that improve how teams build and ship web products. Your work will span both product development and platform evolution, ensuring the web stack remains fast, reliable, and capable of supporting new features and experiences.
Staff Engineers at Medium act as technical leaders across teams. You’ll partner closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders to tackle ambiguous problems, drive alignment on technical approaches, and raise the bar for frontend engineering across the organization. Salary Range
$200,000 - $265,000 USD
