We’re Hiring: Product Owner – AI-Powered Health & Wellness App

We’re a fast-growing health tech startup about to launch a cutting-edge, AI-driven wellness super app for the US market. Built around AI driven vitals and intelligent recommendations, our app is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in preventative care.

We’re looking for a hands-on Product Owner to take over product leadership from our CTO. You’ll work directly with the founders and development team to drive product strategy, delivery, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define & Drive Product Roadmap: Translate our vision into an actionable roadmap and detailed specs in close collaboration with leadership and engineering.
• Lead AI Integration: Champion the use of AI across all touchpoints—from health scoring to recommendation engines and intelligent UX enhancements.
• User-Centric Development: Use insights, analytics, and intuition to drive feature prioritization and UX improvements.
• Collaborate Closely with Dev & Design: Be in the trenches with our developers and designers, ensuring exceptional execution and pixel-perfect experiences.
• Own the Delivery Cycle: Run Agile ceremonies, manage backlog, QA features, and ensure fast iteration and reliable shipping.
• Push the Edge: Constantly research market trends, user behavior, and emerging AI technologies to keep the product ahead of competitors.

You’ll need:

• AI Product Experience: Demonstrated experience building or managing AI-powered products—ideally involving machine learning, LLMs, personalization, or health analytics.
• 5+ years in product ownership or product management, with at least 2 years owning consumer mobile apps.
• A track record of successfully launching and scaling apps, ideally in wellness, healthtech, or tech-forward sectors.
• Technical fluency—able to work closely with engineers and understand system architecture, APIs, and data models.
• Deep understanding of UX principles and mobile interaction design.
• South Africa-based and able to work closely with our distributed team.
• Proactive, resourceful, and autonomous—you’ve owned entire product areas end to end, not just been a cog in a larger machine.

You’ll obsess over the user experience, lead AI integration, shape the roadmap, and help us build something truly world-class.
