Our competitive advertising intelligence platform enables clients to achieve peak performance with always-on data and insights that span the media, creative, and business strategies of five million brands across 30+ media channels. We are looking for a full stack Senior Software Engineer to join our Internal Data Acquisition team. The role covers many facets of software engineering, which include the retrieval, cleaning, and monitoring of third party data, full stack web development of our internal data processing tools, and ETL of our data across a multitude of systems. We are mostly a C# shop, but do have projects that use Python and Node.js. Our front-end projects are built using Angular or React. Strong SQL skills are essential for all projects, as many leverage Databricks, Postgres, and SQL Server as the core data platforms. We are looking for engineers who can navigate complex business domains and apply their technical expertise to build modern, innovative, and high-quality solutions. As an engineer at MediaRadar, your contributions will have a direct and significant impact on our company's growth and direction. We're looking for someone who can bring both expertise and passion to help us drive innovation and continue our success into the future.

Who You Are

You are a dedicated software engineer eager to join a talented development team. As an experienced problem solver, you have a strong intuition for approaching engineering challenges and their solutions. A lifelong learner, you actively contribute to elevating the team's overall expertise. You take ownership of projects, driving them from concept through completion, while ensuring each stage meets high standards of quality and performance. You take pride in creating robust architectures, writing clean code, and delivering software that effectively meets user needs while enhancing their experience. You are unafraid to challenge existing implementations and are willing to propose clean, testable, and reusable code solutions as you grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement new features and functionality to our suite of internal data processing and monitoring web applications
  • Design, build, and maintain robust ingestion pipelines for APIs, data feeds, and web-based sources
  • Enhance various automation workflows for internal data processing, including but not limited to image recognition, video encoding, and machine learning
  • Develop systems for data profiling, anomaly detection, and automated quality checks
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and other Engineering teams to define data source priorities and integration strategies
  • Maintain the overall quality of the software through refactoring where needed, focusing on code performance, security, and scalability
  • Adhere to and promote the company's Software Development Processes
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure consistency and quality across the team

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 4-6 years of experience in full-stack web development with solid knowledge of both .NET Framework and .NET Core (ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core). Candidates with experience in SaaS solutions and .NET 8 are strongly preferred
  • Experience with cloud provider solutions like AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong SQL skills, with a focus on large scale ETL processing — particularly with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Databricks. Experience with Azure Data Factory is preferred
  • Familiarity with front-end development using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML. AngularJs and React experience is a plus, but not required
  • We are looking for engineers with a proactive mindset. You have proven experience in identifying and solving complex technical challenges, focusing on creating impactful solutions. You have a demonstrated history of learning and contributing to robust architectures spanning a multitude of systems
  • A passion for clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and drives long-term stability. You have strong ownership of your work, with a record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that meet deadlines. You strive to stay current with evolving technologies and industry trends

Nice to Have:

  • Proven experience migrating major application versioning, such as .NET Framework to .NET (Core, 8+), or AngularJs to Angular (15+)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; specific experience with Chef and Bamboo
  • Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, AWS Redshift DBs
  • Knowledge of Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) such as NHibernate and Entity Framework
  • Experience with Big Data and Data Warehousing solutions is an advantage

Preferred Professional Skills:

  • Technically proficient with a keen interest in both current and emerging technologies
  • Eager to learn and understand the specifics of our niche market
  • Highly motivated to identify and resolve root causes of errors and inefficiencies
  • Strong communicator, able to articulate both technical and non-technical ideas clearly, and unafraid to ask questions when something is unclear
  • Collaborative team player, committed to contributing to the success of projects
  • Lifelong learner, continuously sharing knowledge and insights to elevate the team's overall expertise
