Job Summary:
As a Medefy Software Engineer-III you'll play a pivotal role in mentoring lower-level engineers, ensuring high-quality solutions and guiding the team towards deliverables. This role focuses on delivering on the product roadmap and customer issues while serving as mentors and role models for lower-level engineers. You'll be instrumental in maintaining high standards through architecture, code reviews, and join our mission of transforming health benefits navigation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver on product roadmap and customer issue commitments
- Assist in running team rituals
- Develop and maintain unit and functional tests
- Mentor lower-level engineers through technical challenges and career growth
- Maintain high standards through architecture and code reviews
- Guide the team towards deliverables through grooming/planning
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
You must have at least the following:
- Associates or higher degree in Software or Engineering discipline or code school graduate
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Software Engineer
- Committed to deliverables for the product roadmap and customer issues
- Practical experience, including freelance or contributions to open source
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Self-starter, self-motivated attitude, and willing to take initiative
- Experience working with GIT and one or more CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Experience with microservices
- Must be a versatile engineer that is comfortable with multiple programming languages, as well as working in both front end and backend
It Would Be Great If You Have
- Backend experience in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with Node services
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Database experience in PostGres
- Experience working in Python and ElasticSearch
- Front end experience in React and ReactNative
- Tech savvy (we are a SaaS company after all)
- Experience in any of the following areas: health insurance, employee benefits, insurance brokerage, HR, telemedicine, general healthcare

Physical And Mental Requirements
- Occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machines, etc.
- Prolonged periods of being stationary at a desk and working on a computer
- Communicating with others to exchange information via typing
- Must have close-range clarity of vision with or without corrective lens
- Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems; Multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy, able to perform duties from multiple sources
- Interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers, clients, and vendors and under adverse circumstances
- Must maintain regular attendance and be punctual
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions
