About KRON Development:
KRON Development is a software studio based in Osaka, working with clients across Europe and the Middle East - and now expanding in the US. For 7+ years we’ve shipped web, mobile, and AI products for startups and enterprises. You can learn more about us at www.krondev.com.The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer with native-level English who enjoys talking with clients just as much as talking about code.
This is a part-time, fully remote contractor role where you’ll be the bridge between our clients and our engineering team. You’ll join calls, clarify what needs to be built, and keep non-technical stakeholders confidently in the loop. It’s a good fit if you want to stay close to real-world software projects without taking on another full-time engineering job. What You’ll Do:
- Join video calls with clients (discovery, status, follow-up)
- Ask the right questions, gather and clarify technical requirements, and shape user stories
- Translate client needs into clear, actionable tasks for our developers
- Explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and progress in simple, non-technical language
- Prepare short, clear meeting notes and follow-up action items
- Keep clients informed about timelines, risks, and blockers before they become problems
- Spot upsell/cross-sell opportunities and support light sales conversations when it makes sense
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking For:
- Native-level English (spoken and written) - you’re confident leading calls with US clients
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a closely related technical role
- Strong understanding of modern software development (web, mobile, APIs, cloud)
- You’re good at “translating” between tech and business and keeping everyone aligned
- Comfortable with US time zones and communication style
- Organized and reliable - you follow up, close loops, and document decisions clearly
- Able to work independently in a fully remote environmentNice-to-Have:
- Previous work with US-based clients
- Experience in customer success, account management, or pre-sales
- Background in FinTech, eCommerce, or AI projectsTime & Schedule:
- Part-time: typically 5-10 hours per week (hours may vary by client load)
- Flexible schedule, as long as you can join calls in US time zones when needed
