Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
You will work with the Senior Game Designer to develop game concepts that are both engaging and deliver on product learning (or assessment) goals. You will support the team in carrying game concepts from early ideation to fully realized, functional experiences. You will leverage game design to make an impact beyond traditional games.
You will craft compelling puzzles and experiences, test them with coworkers and colleagues to gather immediate feedback. You will devise innovative and unconventional methods to test early game concepts and interactions. Additionally, you will balance complex game systems and rules, and iterate and fine-tune game elements to achieve perfection. You will additionally create support documentation for your designs. This includes drafting one-pagers, outlining feature sets, assisting in designing data structures, creating flowcharts, and helping to develop presentations.
The Game-Based Innovations Lab (GBIL) creates games and game-based experiences designed to educate, to assess, and to foster meaningful connections with our users. The team is made up of approximately 25 scientists, designers, engineers, and product specialists who leverage their deep expertise to craft engaging products that make an impact outside of traditional game/entertainment spaces.
The GBIL team is distributed across North and South America. While you will be assigned an office based on your location, remote locations are welcome.
