Position Summary
The Growth Marketing Manager splits focus between driving consumer revenue for food franchisee clients through loyalty and retention platforms (Toast, Punchh, Olo, Thanks, and others) and executing McKay Advertising + Activation's own B2B outbound growth campaigns via GoHighLevel (GHL) and WordPress landing pages. Time is expected to be split approximately 60% client loyalty work and 40% agency outbound work.

Key Responsibilities & Capabilities
1. Agency Outbound, CRM & Website Implementation
- GoHighLevel & CRM Management: Build, test, and execute automated outbound email sequences, trigger links, and multi-touch prospecting campaigns inside GoHighLevel and other CRM platforms.
- Email Deliverability: Manage sending domains, warm-up, list quality, and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to protect inbox placement.
- WordPress Landing Pages & Sites: Implement, update, and optimize WordPress-based landing pages and sites supporting agency lead generation, outbound campaigns, and client-facing digital assets, including forms, tracking pixels, and UTM parameters..
- Pipeline Hygiene & Segmentation: Maintain clean prospect data, tag contacts by ICP criteria, and manage outbound pipeline stages, and hand off qualified leads to the business development team.
2. Consumer Loyalty Strategy & Platform Execution (Client-Side)
- Loyalty Tech Stack Management: Utilize platforms like Punchh, Toast, Olo, Thankx, and others to build, launch, and manage loyalty promotions, double-point days, LTO teasers, and VIP reward tiers.
- Lifecycle Marketing Automation: Develop automated customer journeys (welcome series, win-back flows, birthday rewards, churn prevention) tailored to multi-unit restaurant guests across email, SMS, push, and in-app channels.
- Local Store Marketing (LSM): Coordinate platform-driven digital and in-app promotions supporting individual franchisee locations to drive immediate foot traffic and transaction volume.
- Brand & Franchise Alignment: Ensure promotions follow franchisor brand standards and approval processes, and coordinate with franchisees and brand teams on offers and timing.
- Compliance: Manage opt-in and opt-out practices and follow TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and platform requirements for SMS, email, and push messaging.
3. Creative & Copywriting
- High-Converting Content: Write engaging marketing copy for push notifications, emails, SMS, in-app banners, and landing pages designed to drive consumer action and maximize redemptions.
- Visual Asset Coordination: Partner with design teams to produce compelling visual assets tailored to quick-service and fast-casual restaurant audiences.
- Testing & Optimization: Run A/B tests on subject lines, offers, send times, and creative, and apply learnings to future campaigns.
4. Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Data Tracking: Monitor core consumer metrics (active loyalty members, enrollment rates, redemption rates, repeat purchase frequency, average check, retention) alongside outbound campaign performance (CRM engagement, response rates, pipeline generated, meeting-booked rate).
- Client Reporting: Translate performance data into actionable insights and regular reporting to demonstrate clear ROI for restaurant franchise operators.
5. Project & Client Coordination
- Campaign and Timeline Management: Manage campaign calendars, timelines, and deliverables across multiple client accounts.
- Client Communication: Participate in client calls, capture action items, and communicate status updates clearly and promptly.

Role Description The Growth Marketing Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing data-driven marketing initiatives that accelerate franchise growth. This role includes developing and managing multichannel growth strategies, overseeing campaign performance, and using analytics to identify opportunities for acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion. The Growth Marketing Manager will collaborate with internal teams and franchise partners to design experiments, manage marketing automation workflows, and ensure consistent brand messaging across digital touchpoints. Day-to-day responsibilities involve tracking performance metrics, preparing clear reports and recommendations, coordinating timelines and deliverables, and continually testing new tactics to improve ROI for food franchise clients.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Growth Marketing, including acquisition, retention, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Strong skills in Marketing Analytics and Web Analytics, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
- Experience with Marketing Automation platforms and lifecycle campaigns to nurture leads and drive loyalty.
- Solid Project Management skills, including organizing complex initiatives, managing timelines, and coordinating stakeholders.
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels (paid media, social, email, SEO) and performance marketing best practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and present findings in a structured way.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with strong ownership and accountability for results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in franchise marketing or the food and restaurant industry is beneficial.
