Software Engineer

Software engineer/developer

We are looking for passionate software developers to join our innovative team for both, improvement of current non-destructive inspection technologies, and further integration into complex security applications.

We expect you make a genuine impact on many areas of our software development life-cycle - from research to specification, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Work with project stakeholders, such as clients, other developers, QA, product managers and other technical leaders to gain an understanding of customer needs and system requirements

Requirements gathering and specification requirements analysis, V&V

Participate in architecture and design reviews for projects that require complex technical solutions

Design and implement re-usable software components

Develop new and enhance existing software code (C++) to improve operations productivity, maintenance and reduce errors

Review code developed by peers

Support test engineers in configuring local and distributed applications to identify and isolate critical software issues

• Write documentation and support technical writers to generate user and service manuals

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related area

Certified specialist preferred (e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, CPA: C++ Certified Associate Programmer, CPP: C++ Certified Professional Programmer)

Experience and competencies:

Proficient coder in C/C++, C# and at least familiar with script languages such as JavaScript, Python, Perl

Knowledge of web services architectures and underlying technologies (SOAP, RESTful, WebApi, WCF and SOA techniques)

Web applications development is a plus (HTML5, AJAX, XML, AJAJ, JSON)

Knowledge in working with SQL databases (in particular MS SQL Server, SQLite)

Middleware development experience will be an advantage (HTTP, WS, RPC, TLS/SSL)

Signal/Image acquisition and processing is desired (e.g. multithreading, ASIO, data flow processing, automatic recognition, etc.)

Experience with version control, ticketing and project management systems (SVN, Git, JIRA, Trac)

Hands on software troubleshooting experience

Experience with code quality improvement, integration and unit tests (Test Explorer, Boost.Test, MSTest, NUnit)

Familiar with software development methodologies

Experience with creating and distributing Installation packages is desired
