About the Team:

The Tester Management team is focused on ensuring that supply and demand is balanced across the Maze platform and that our researchers and testers have the tools to create, participate in, and gather insights from high-quality research studies.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Manager to own key aspects of our tester management use-case:

• Tester fulfillment experience: Own the researcher experience during and after the study is fulfilled. This includes participant recruitment, screening, study modifications, notifications, cancellations/reschedules, and researcher experiences on branded and white-labeled products.
• Enterprise tester recruitment: Own the vision, strategy and overall execution for our next generation of tester recruitment experiences. Create and manage a recruitment platform for multiple research teams to plug into. You’ll build a platform and introduce a customization layer to appeal to various researcher needs.
• Tester participation: Own the tester experience powering study participation. Efficiently guide testers through research studies and ensure high-quality feedback.

What You’ll Do:

• Spend significant time with our customers and users to deeply understand their research and testing needs
• Develop key parts of our tester management roadmap, marrying researchers’ needs with our product vision
• Empower your team by giving context, setting direction, and building alignment
• Drive customer-focused decisions, clear prioritization, and efficient execution of tester recruitment features
• Balance supply and demand across the platform to ensure researchers have access to quality testers when needed
• Build and maintain a robust tester recruitment platform that can be customized for various researcher requirements
• Develop systems to monitor tester quality, engagement, and retention to maintain a healthy participant pool
• Create seamless experiences for both researchers managing studies and testers participating in them
• Coordinate cross-functionally with leadership, go-to-market teams, integration partners, and other key stakeholders across the company
• Build processes that will scale our tester management platform as our team and company go through rapid growth
• Own the vision, strategy and overall execution for our next generation of tester recruitment and management experiences

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a B2B or B2B2C SaaS company
• Experience using quantitative (e.g., metrics, analytics) and qualitative data (e.g., research, user feedback) to inform tester management prioritization and decision-making
• High customer empathy and product craft, with a strong attention to detail in the research and testing space
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate the rationale behind your recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of shaping and launching products in ambiguous and evolving settings, particularly in user research or participant recruitment
• High sense of agency and ability to thrive in environments that value extreme ownership
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including researchers, designers, and engineers
• Learning and growth mindset with a willingness to adapt to changing research methodologies
• Mission-first attitude, understanding that your success is measured by your product and team’s success

What To Expect:

• In this role you will report directly to the product director and work closely with a fully remote, cross-functional, and dynamic team distributed across the US and EU
• You will join a team of senior product managers who are passionate about product development and the craft of product discovery
• Your role will involve collaborating with our diverse team to drive tester management strategy, oversee development, and execute go-to-market launches that ultimately shape the future of Maze’s business
• You’ll be responsible for creating and managing a tester recruitment platform that appeals to various researcher needs and demographics

We typically target the low - mid point of the salary range to allow room for growth within the role. Your salary is dependent upon many factors, including years of experience, expertise, etc. During your first interview, you can expect to have an open conversation with your recruiter regarding your compensation expectations.
