Summary of the Role:
As Senior Manager of Content & Product Marketing at Maze, you'll be the architect of our content engine and product marketing strategy, creating compelling narratives that drive pipeline generation and revenue growth for our AI-powered cybersecurity platform. This is a unique opportunity to join as one of the early GTM team members of a well-funded startup building at the intersection of generative AI and cybersecurity, where you'll build our content function from the ground up while establishing product marketing practices that scale with hypergrowth.
You'll take full ownership of content strategy and execution—from working with security experts to create technical blogs and video content, to crafting product positioning and sales enablement materials that accelerate deal velocity. Your success will be measured by revenue impact and pipeline generation, not content volume or vanity metrics. This role is perfect for someone who has thrived in high-growth companies with progressive marketing leadership, has deep security domain expertise, and wants the opportunity to own both content and product marketing as we scale from early traction to market leadership.
Within a year, you'll grow into a Director role leading a team as we expand our content and product marketing capabilities to support our next phase of growth.
Your Contributions to Our Journey:
What You Need to Be Successful:
Security Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud security, vulnerability management, CVEs, and security workflows—you must be able to discuss technical security concepts fluently with both customers and internal engineering teams. This is non-negotiable and cannot be learned on the job.
Dual Marketing Expertise: 5-8 years in B2B SaaS marketing with proven experience in both content creation and product marketing—you can come from either background but must have hands-on experience executing both functions successfully
High-Growth Marketing Background: Track record at high-growth companies with progressive marketing leadership, where you've built novel content campaigns and contributed directly to pipeline and revenue growth through creative marketing approaches
Technical Depth: Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cybersecurity technologies—comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and translating technical capabilities into business value
Proven Campaign Success: Portfolio of meaningful content campaigns you've created and can discuss proudly—we want to see examples of innovative approaches that drove measurable business impact, not just content you managed
Revenue-Focused Mindset: Experience tying marketing activities directly to pipeline generation and revenue outcomes, with ability to set and measure success metrics that matter to the business, not just activity-based KPIs
Builder Mentality: Comfort creating content strategies and product marketing programs from scratch, with proven ability to establish processes, workflows, and standards that scale as the company grows
Collaborative Leadership Style: Natural ability to work effectively with security experts, sales teams, product managers, and executives—you give creative freedom to subject matter experts while maintaining clear strategic direction
Nice to Haves:
Experience at vulnerability management, risk platforms, or technical detection tool companies (EDR, NDR, SIEM)
Background in backend or infrastructure engineering with transition to product marketing
Track record creating video content, podcasts, or multimedia campaigns
Experience with AI/ML product marketing or agent-based systems
Previous startup experience scaling marketing from Series A through hypergrowth
