What You'll Be Doing
Collection Development
Leading the identification, design, and development or merchandizing of new fabric collections in collaboration with our President. Our collections range from curated vendor assortments built around a cohesive story, to design-driven collections involving direct color and pattern direction with suppliers. You'll manage vendor relationships, track samples, and be involved in the full launch process from budgeting through to sales team education.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Building and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers. You'll communicate design direction, negotiate sample terms, evaluate product against our performance standards, and maintain a detailed supplier scorecard to inform future sourcing decisions.
Brand & Market Awareness
Staying ahead of trends across home décor, fashion, furniture, and adjacent industries — and translating those insights into smart product choices for our customer base. You'll represent Maxwell Fabrics at key trade shows including High Point, Proposte, NYC, and select European markets.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Working alongside marketing, sales, and our purchasing team to ensure new collections are well-positioned, well-presented, and well-supported from launch onward.
