First UK engineering hire within a scaling digital platform used across multiple regions. Role shapes technical direction, architecture, and delivery standards from the ground up.

Own backend services, APIs, and frontend applications. Work with product and a global engineering team to define platform direction and improve system design for scale and reliability.

Build backend services in C# and .NET. Design and maintain APIs. Deliver frontend features using React and TypeScript. Work across AWS or Azure with responsibility for key technical decisions.

Set engineering standards for a new UK function. Improve code quality across services. Support hiring and onboarding as the team expands.

Requirements

• Strong C# and .NET experience
• Background in scalable backend systems
• Commercial React and TypeScript experience
• Cloud experience across AWS or Azure
• Experience in distributed teams
• Ownership across full delivery lifecycle
