MatchBox is urgently seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer for a permanent position with our Vancouver based client. This role can work fully remotely from anywhere across Eastern Canada with a preference for Montreal, Ottawa or the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, product goals, and technical constraints
Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma
Design and refine UI elements, interactions, and visual assets that align with the brand guidelines
Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize insights to improve the user experience
Advocate for design best practices and contribute to the evolution of the design system
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback quickly and effectively
Stay current with trends in design, technology, and user behavior

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, ideally in a digital product environment
Proven experience with Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration
A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across web and/or mobile
Solid understanding of interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility best practices
Comfortable working in agile or iterative product teams
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain your design decisions
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting
Experience with motion design/micro-interactions, design systems and component-based design
Knowledge of HTML/CSS or front-end frameworks
