Software Engineer - Informatica ETL

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Informatica Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, as well as a strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and the ability to work closely with business analysts and other developers to deliver efficient and scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Analyze and understand data sources and mapping requirements for effective data extraction and transformation.
• Create and optimize ETL workflows, sessions, and mappings for integration tasks.
• Develop and implement complex data transformation logic using Informatica Transformation techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the ETL process, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and data quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for ETL development.
• Perform unit testing and support integration and system testing of the developed ETL solutions.
• Monitor and optimize performance of ETL jobs to ensure efficiency.
• Provide support for deployment and maintenance of ETL processes in production environments.
• Work with other developers and stakeholders to improve data integration strategies and architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in designing and developing ETL workflows and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Proficient in developing complex data transformation logic using Informatica Transformations (Aggregator, Joiner, Lookup, Expression, Filter, etc.).
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing ETL jobs for performance.
• Understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Integration best practices.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Informatica Cloud or Cloud Data Integration.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Experience with other ETL tools (e.g., Talend, SSIS) is a plus.
• Certification in Informatica PowerCenter or Cloud is a plus.
