About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior-level Software Engineer to help architect, build, and scale BotHQ-AI, our flagship platform. You’ll work across our core stack—Python, Go, TypeScript, and SQL—to ship features end-to-end, from data models and APIs to user-facing flows and internal tools.

If you like owning real product surface area in a small team, working directly with founders, and seeing your code hit production quickly, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain core services
• Design and implement backend services and APIs in Python and Go
• Work with TypeScript (front-end and/or Node) to build internal and customer-facing tools
• Design, query, and optimize relational databases using SQL (schema design, migrations, performance tuning)
• Collaborate on integrations with systems like Salesforce, RingCentral, GoHighLevel, and other third-party APIs
• Support implementation of AI-driven workflows, bots, and automation logic in BotHQ-AI
• Produce or refine diagrams, UI mockups, and visuals for docs, sales, and onboarding
• Ensure technical content looks professional and clearly explains complex workflows
• Collaborate & lead
• Work directly with the founders on scope, architecture, and delivery
• Help define and document engineering standards, patterns, and best practices

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years total working with the following, including at least 2 year of professional experience in each:
• Python
• Go
• TypeScript
• SQL
• Strong knowledge of:
• Algorithms, data structures, and system design fundamentals
• Building and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Relational databases (indexing, joins, transactions, performance considerations)
• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving environment with high ownership and autonomy
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain decisions and tradeoffs
• 1 Year of Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)

Nice to Have

• Experience with:
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, possibly Kubernetes)
• Event-driven or microservices architectures
• Prior work building:
• SaaS products
• AI/ML-powered workflows, chatbots, or automation tools
• Machine Learning Development and Training

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Starting at $80,000/year (with room to grow based on experience and impact)
• Equity-style upside: Performance-based options contracts tied to milestones and contribution
