We are seeking a strategic and highly technical Senior Data Scientist to partner closely with Sourcing as we transition from a reactive, operational model to a predictive, autonomous system. This role serves as the critical link between data discovery, business trends, and execution. Driving smarter decision-making and maximizing ROI through advanced analytics and machine learning.
As a key leader in our Sourcing Evolution initiative, you will help build a self-healing supply chain powered by predictive orchestration and ML-driven optimization. You’ll leverage deep expertise in delivery sourcing, customer order data, and supply chain trends to improve service, speed, capacity, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development (35%)
- Design and develop probabilistic and predictive models to support expanded fulfillment modes, including high-density logistics and complex distribution center deliveries
- Build dynamic decisioning systems to enable real-time “mode switching” based on congestion, service levels, and total landed cost
- Translate model outputs into actionable recommendations that improve execution velocity and sourcing margin
- Lead development of ML-driven solutions for autonomous sourcing and optimization
Project Leadership & Team Support (30%)
- Set priorities and provide technical direction for data science initiatives within the Sourcing domain
- Mentor and coach junior data scientists; contribute to hiring and team development
- Ensure alignment of data science efforts with broader “Future of Sourcing” strategy and OKRs
- Act as a central driver of execution across multiple high-impact projects
Business Collaboration (20%)
- Partner cross-functionally to identify and prioritize opportunities to optimize fulfillment performance (e.g., on-time delivery, completion rates)
- Translate complex supply chain challenges into scalable technical solutions
- Educate stakeholders on advanced analytics and data science capabilities
- Build strong relationships with business partners to enable adoption of data-driven solutions
- Identify new opportunities to leverage data science as a competitive advantage
Technical Innovation & Development (15%)
- Research and apply emerging data science methodologies, including ML agents and advanced optimization techniques
- Develop reusable data products, algorithms, and documentation to scale impact across the organization
- Establish best practices for data analysis, modeling, and experimentation
- Contribute to a library of reusable, well-documented code and analytical frameworks
Required Qualifications
