Part-time Marketing Instructor

Manuscripts, LLC is looking to add an energetic, upbeat marketing instructor to join our instruction team. This is a part-time, fully remote position.

Position Summary:

The marketing instructor is a marketing professional with both college teaching or adult education experience and knowledge of 1-to-1 marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, Canva, and other marketing platforms. The instructor works with our authors in live, small-group classes online to guide them in creating successful marketing presale campaigns for their books. We teach the writers to be their own marketing experts. This position is fully remote and requires a computer, webcam, and reliable internet service. We provide a complete curriculum and there are no assignments or grading.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of marketing experience
• 2+ years of teaching experience
• Experience teaching/leading workshops online

Preferred Qualifications

• Book marketing or other entertainment marketing experience.
• Master’s degree or higher in marketing.

Compensation:

The Marketing instructor is an independent contractor of Manuscripts LLC. The current pay rate is $25 per hour, with flexible billable hours that average 7-15 hours per week. The contractor can bill for prep time hours and attending meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Teach 1-2 one-hour marketing classes per week. Must be available to teach day and evening classes based on East Coast Time. The marketing instructor chooses the times they teach.
• Hold one open Q&A session online at a specific time each week.
• Attend weekly marketing meetings (Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. EST) and biweekly instruction team meetings (Friday, 12:30 p.m. EST) or watch the recording within 24 hours.
• Stay updated with all programming changes.
• Stay current with trends in the industry.
