Lead LAN Engineer

Salary Range: $90,000 - $121,000
This role is to serve as a LAN Lead for a larger team that has the objective of supporting wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the Local Area Network (LAN). The LAN Lead will work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion. The LAN Lead will develop specifications for simple to moderately complex problems. In addition, coordinate with the PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Contractor shall assist in coordinating with J6 and other agencies on the following:
- Assist Networking Engineering team with equipment lifecycle planning and installation, as well as development of technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment
- Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within the DLA enclave
- Development of market research for new equipment and provide recommendations to Government POC
- Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required
- Perform lab testing of LAN equipment
- Provide knowledge transfer to the NTS-LAN government staU
- Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project
- Manager (TOPM) and Government POC
- Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects
- Effectively task, track, monitor, and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within their area of responsibility
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- U.S Citizenship required
- Must possess a current DoD Secret clearance based on T-5 background check at time of proposal submission
- Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience including at least two projects in technical areas included in the Statement of Work Task Area 1 Section 4.1 a. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years
- Performed planning and installation of equipment, as well as developed technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment
- Performed tasks for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within a DoD’s enclave
- Developed market research for new equipment and provided recommendations to Government POC
- Provided input on LAN designs and architecture
- Performed lab testing of LAN equipment
- Provided knowledge transfer to government customers
- Performed management and reporting of IT Project Tasks
- Task, track, monitor, and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within personnel’s area of responsibility
- Must have relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, DoD
- Must have an approved Baseline Certification Environment: CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, VSX, NSA, ESE
- Must be flexible for frequent travel
