Job Title: MES Software Developer (.NET, C#, Angular)
Position Details:

Location: Remote, consultant is required to be within 1–2-hour commutable distance in one of the following Corning office locations to be considered:

- Work Schedule/Hours: M-F, 8 am - 5 pm - No OT anticipated.
- Interview Process: One Hour Panel Video Interview.
- Possibility of extension, based on demand.
- Travel: Up to 15% travel possible - based on project need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic view and understanding of Siemens Opcenter Execution to lead design and development efforts across Corning.
- Design, implement, and support manufacturing solutions in accordance with standard Corning IT practices.
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution modeling and development tools including Designer and Portal.
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with various technical capabilities like .Net, JavaScript, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
- Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of ERP, MES, shop floor controls and how they integrate to provide a complete solution to the plant.
- Ensure that MES work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated by serving as the MES lead on global projects.
- Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development.
Required Skills
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science /Systems Management/IT Related field (minimum required).
- Experience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal. (2+ years desired).
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development.
- 5+ years’ experience using programming languages such as .NET, C#.
- Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of source code management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills (including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs).
- Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that make meet business demands and are technically sound.

- Experience with Angular development

Pay Transparency:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $55.76/hour - $74.35/hour.
