Agency Lead/Senior Strategist (Digital Marketing)

Magnify Digital is a boutique Vancouver agency specializing in digital marketing strategy for screen media, travel, and tourism. We are small but mighty, innovators with high standards.

A recent strategic alliance with a global PR firm means we are growing and we need someone who can lead and help build our team.

The role

You will run the agency's digital practice, designing, executing, and leading multi-platform strategies, managing senior client relationships, and ensuring the team delivers work that consistently exceeds expectations.

The Agency Lead/Senior Strategist will:

·  Lead and develop a team of digital strategists

·      Set and hold the standard for strategic quality across the agency

·      Serve as the senior agency contact on key accounts

·      Lead strategy presentations, campaign reviews, and performance conversations

·      Develop integrated digital marketing strategies grounded in rigorous audience intelligence, including our proprietary platform ScreenMiner™

·      Lead on files where digital and PR intersect

·      Write and edit compelling social content across platforms — and know the difference between good and good enough

·      Analyze paid campaign performance and make smart decisions with what you find

·      Identify, engage, and manage influencer relationships

·      Identify opportunities for clients before they surface them

·      Lead training webinars and workshops internally and for clients

·      Stay ahead of platform changes and AI-driven tools and bring that knowledge back to the team

What we are looking for

·  Minimum 5 years of digital marketing strategy experience with measurable results you can speak to clearly

·      Minimum 3 years managing a team in an agency or comparable environment

·      Deep expertise across paid media (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest) with a strong track record of demonstrable  success

·      Strong command of Google Analytics, GEO tools/tactics, CRM platforms, and project management software

·      Proven ability to execute, e.g. writing and editing social content, running paid campaigns, working with influencers

·      Proven ability to work alongside PR teams and integrate digital strategy into broader communications campaigns

·      Excellent judgment — you make good calls independently and know when to escalate

·      Strong management skills, including knowing how to brief a busy CEO and executive clients

·      Experience leading client-facing training or workshops

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills. This is mandatory, AI slop doesn’t cut it.

·      A degree in communications, marketing, or business, or demonstrable equivalent experience

Nice to have

·      Background in screen media, entertainment, travel, or tourism

·      Familiarity with marketing automation and AI-driven efficiency tools

·      Experience contributing to business development

·      Proficiency in French
