Role Description

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges and building scalable, impactful solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll actively code and implement user interfaces while also defining our frontend team's best practices, methodologies, and technology choices in collaboration with the CTO. You'll be responsible for building responsive applications, integrating with backend services, and driving technical excellence across the team. As our lead frontend engineer, you'll work directly with the CTO and product team, take ownership of sprint planning, and help shape the technical direction while expanding and mentoring the frontend team. We need someone who's equally comfortable architecting solutions, writing code, and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

End-to-end development of frontend software components (research, design, development, testing, rollout, monitoring).
Contribute to technological and architectural decisions.
Conduct design and code reviews.
Conduct technical interviews or take part in the interview process.
Analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various frontend system components.
Work closely with our UI/UX designer to implement pixel perfect user interfaces.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in frontend engineering with high-level programming languages (e.g., Javascript, etc).
5+ years of experience designing complex frontends with React.
Deep understanding of browser environments and runtimes.
Experience implementing unit tests and integration tests.
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
An agile mindset adaptable to a startup's dynamic environment.
