Job Title: Director of Strategic Marketing

Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving brand strategy, market positioning, and growth initiatives across the Air Handling Group sector of Madison Air. This executive will lead the development and execution of data-driven marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement, strengthen the company’s competitive advantage, and accelerate revenue growth. Partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management, the Director of Strategic Marketing ensures alignment between market needs and company offerings while building a strong brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Define and execute the long-term marketing vision and strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Analyze industry trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic direction.
- Build and manage the company’s brand positioning as a market leader in energy-efficient, sustainable HVAC solutions.
Market Development & Growth
- Identify new market opportunities, segments, and customer channels for growth.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence product roadmaps based on customer and market insights.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and services.
Commercial Enablement & Demand Generation
- Partner with Sales leadership to create integrated campaigns that drive pipeline growth and customer acquisition.
- Oversee pricing strategies, value propositions, and messaging frameworks to maximize market penetration.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives in marketing, including CRM optimization, marketing automation, and digital lead generation.
Brand & Communications
- Manage corporate communications, public relations, and trade show/event strategies to enhance visibility.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Strengthen the company’s reputation in sustainability, innovation, and customer service.
Performance Metrics & KPIs
The success of the Director of Strategic Marketing will be measured by:
- Revenue Contribution: growth in marketing-influenced revenue and pipeline opportunities.
- Market Share Growth: Expansion in targeted market segments (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial HVAC).
- Lead Generation: increase in qualified leads from digital and offline campaigns.
- Brand Awareness: Measurable increases in brand recognition, customer engagement, and share of voice in the HVAC sector.
- Customer Retention & Satisfaction: Improvement in customer loyalty, NPS (Net Promoter Score), and repeat business.

- Marketing ROI: Demonstrated efficiency of campaigns (cost per lead, cost per acquisition, campaign ROI).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 in a senior executive role.
- Proven success in strategic marketing within the HVAC, building systems, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Strong track record of developing go-to-market strategies and delivering measurable business growth.
- Expertise in digital marketing, customer segmentation, and brand strategy.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
