MacrosFirst, Inc. helps people achieve their body composition and performance goals through nutrition. Our mobile app is used by hundreds of thousands of people every day. We're excited to move away from design agencies and hire our first internal Product Designer to take MacrosFirst to the next level.

As Senior Product Designer, you will lead all design responsibilities including maintaining and evolving our robust design system, creating end-to-end user workflows for new products, and conducting UI testing and user research. In this role you will play a critical role in the entire product development process partnering closely with our founders and engineers. This includes anything from unpacking the problem space and generating new product concepts to fine-tuning the UI before launch. You will use your adaptive approach and your range of interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills to produce impactful user experiences that help our users achieve their wellness goals.

This role is fully remote. Candidates in Latin America are preferred to maximize timezone overlap with our team in the USA and LATAM.

The ideal candidate has a portfolio showcasing wireframes and component libraries they have created, experience designing for mobile, and a demonstrated history of solving research & design challenges both independently and in collaboration with their team. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. A portfolio could be a Github repository, a personal website, link to a Figma project, or a document showcasing prior work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Develop a deep understanding of the MacrosFirst brand, product, market, and users so that you can be an active and opinionated contributor to team decision making
Partner with product leadership to understand requirements and rationale for new features
Design new features and user experiences following Lean UX principles
Proactively identify and advocate for areas of optimization and improvement within the product. In other words, be a leader.
Research, test, and benchmark competitor products to ensure MacrosFirst is industry leading
Own the creation and maintenance of our design system and the reusable components therein to ensure design and code consistency across the product
Conduct user research as needed to validate new ideas and test assumptions
Utilize product analytics tools to make data driven decisions

REQUIREMENTS

Strong English communication
Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX/UI design and information architecture
4+ years of experience total as a UX/UI designer
2+ years of experience working on mobile applications
1+ years of experience with cross-platform UX experience (web, tablet, watch)
Expert Figma skills including using Dev mode + tokens, variables, and styles to create and maintain design systems
Experience formalizing design systems based on existing designs
You are precise, have meticulous attention to detail, and value functional, efficient, modern UX
You love to iterate in the quest of crafting the best experiences
You take pride in your designs and solving hard problems with innovative solutions
