Senior Software Engineer

This business is a fintech scale-up with a distributed team in Lisbon, Portugal. Their customers are worldwide, and each country has different requirements they support through the platform. They are a visionary company looking to enable consumers, retailers, rewards publishers and banks around the world to improve customer experience.

As a Senior Software engineer, you’ll be responsible for writing, testing and getting software production-ready. You will know your space and be confident in the way you complete your work, but know where your limitations are and collaborate with the wider team when needed.

Technology Stack

• Languages/Frameworks: NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Working knowledge of databases, either NoSQL/Document and SQL
• Other technologies the company use include AWS (They use Lambda, Cloud Formation, Dynamo DB, API Gateway and Step Functions)

Requirements

• Writing high quality software, that is both scalable and robust
• Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
• Supporting the QA uphold code and application quality levels including writing automated tests
• Identifying technical problems and implementing software updates and fixes
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions

This is a full time position paying up to 70,000 Euros and offers a hybrid or mainly remote working option.
