At SyncSmart, we’re building the connective tissue for the modern SaaS ecosystem: a platform that makes it easy for businesses to move, sync, and transform data across CRMs, ERPs, and every tool in their stack.

The platform is live, architected by the founder. Now, we’re looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to carry it forward—evolving the architecture, scaling the system, and taking ownership of mission-critical components as we move into our next phase of growth.

You’ll join a small team of full-stack engineers and creative technologists building production-grade infrastructure with purpose and momentum. We move fast, think deeply, and care about clean code, clear ownership, and building things that last.

What You’ll Do

Build core backend services in Go, with supporting systems and tooling written in TypeScript and Python where appropriate
Develop systems that ingest, transform, and synchronize data across third-party SaaS APIs
Ensure data integrity, traceability, and fault-tolerance across complex sync workflows
Work directly with REST APIs, OAuth2 flows, and webhook consumers
Own solutions end-to-end -- from architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment
Write thoughtful documentation for internal developers and external consumers
Contribute to a collaborative, high-trust, agile environment with a focus on autonomy and accountability
Implement engineering best practices in system design, testing, and observability

You Might Be a Fit If You:

Have 5+ years of backend development experience
Are fluent in Go and experienced with TypeScript (Node.js) and/or Python
Understand RESTful architecture, OAuth2, and the nuances of third-party APIs
Have worked with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, or similar data systems
Have built systems that handle data sync, integrations, or workflow automation
Are a systematic thinker who balances pragmatism with vision
Thrive in lean, fast-moving environments where you take initiative
Communicate clearly, document generously, and think like a mentor even when no one’s watching
Bring a problem-solver’s mindset to technical ambiguity and business constraints

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with AI-powered automation, data classification, or machine learning
Interest in architecture patterns for event-driven, multi-tenant, or high-throughput systems
