Job Title: Full-Stack Developer (Next.js / Node.js) – Part-Time, Remote

Reports to: Founder & CEO

Start date: Week of 18 August 2025

Weekly commitment: 15–20 hours (evenings / weekends OK)

Compensation: CA $60 – $85 per hour, opportunity for equity grants

LVLup Sports is building the first AI-powered “Bloomberg Terminal” for player-prop betting.

You’ll join a lean, senior founding team: product lead, sports-data scientist (Python/SQL API), marketing lead, and CEO.

What You’ll Build

• React / Next.js PWA with responsive UI for searching NBA, MLB, and NFL props
• Secure auth & user session management (NextAuth or similar)
• Integration with our Python-based odds-and-probability API
• Data caching & performance optimizations (Redis, Prisma, Postgres)
• Deployment + CI/CD (Vercel today; IaC/Kubernetes roadmap)
• Basic monitoring & error tracking (Sentry / Vercel Analytics)
• Assist with QA, bug-bashing, and launch readiness ahead of 15 Nov beta

Core Responsibilities

% Time Responsibility

40 % Front-end development (Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind)

30 % Back-end endpoints, Prisma ORM, Redis/Postgres modelling

15 % DevOps: CI/CD, environment config, monitoring hooks

10 % Code reviews & collaborative design

5 % Documentation, hand-off, and demo walkthroughs

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3 + years building production web apps with React/Next.js and Node.js/TypeScript
• Comfortable with Prisma (or similar ORM) & PostgreSQL schema design
• Experience deploying to Vercel, Netlify, or AWS Lambda with automated CI/CD
• Ability to work independently for 15-20 hrs/week on a tight timeline (evenings/weekends are okay)
• Excellent async communication (GitHub PRs, Linear/Jira, Slack)

Nice-to-Haves

• Real-time data pipelines (websocket odds feeds, pub/sub, Redis streams)
• Sports-betting domain knowledge or personal interest in NBA/NFL/MLB stats
• Terraform/Pulumi IaC, Kubernetes, or Cloudflare edge-cache experience
• Mobile-first design chops or Figma familiarity
• Basic data-viz (Recharts, Victory, or d3) for prop dashboards
