We’re seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder Specialist on behalf of a Fortune Global 500 company as part of an ambitious RFP-driven engagement. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, values collaboration, and can immediately step in to bring complex customer journeys to life.
You’ll be the go-to expert for building personalized, data-driven, cross-channel journeys that engage customers at the right moment, on the right channel—with zero fluff.
About the Opportunity
You’ll work at the intersection of CRM, data, and marketing strategy, operationalizing sophisticated multi-touch campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud using Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio. These journeys will be powered by data from Salesforce Data Cloud and extend across email, SMS, and paid media platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Build and test end-to-end journeys in Journey Builder, including logic for continuous enrollment, behavioral triggers, and dynamic goal conditions
- Configure journey steps such as wait periods, engagement tracking, decision splits, and exit criteria
- Validate audience flows, message delivery, and trigger logic through comprehensive QA
- Collaborate with Data Cloud teams to ensure audience segments are properly consumed and activated
- Troubleshoot journey performance, optimize customer paths, and provide recommendations based on engagement data
- Document journey logic, testing protocols, and maintain templates to support scalable campaign execution
Timeline Expectations - we’re moving fast—and you need to be ready to dive in:
- Journey strategy implementation: 1–2 weeks
- Journey Builder setup & configuration: 2–3 weeks
- Data Cloud audience integration: 2–3 weeks
- Channel testing & optimization: 2–4 weeks
Total target window: 6–10 weeks from onboarding to launch. This assumes full-time availability and immediate ramp-up.
Contract Structure
- Phase 1: Contractor Engagement during the RFP and initial implementation period
- Phase 2: Full-Time Conversion Opportunity if the RFP is awarded and the engagement expands
- This is a strategic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a Fortune Global 500 digital transformation effort

Required Skills
- Exceptional communicator and cross-functional collaborator
- Deep experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio
- Skilled in multi-channel orchestration (email, SMS, paid media) and behavioral targeting
- Familiar with audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and real-time automation logic
- Proficient in HTML/CSS for email development and troubleshooting rendering issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Marketing Cloud Admin certification required (both preferable)
- 3–5+ years of experience in Marketing Cloud with a proven track record of journey execution at scale
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle strategy and campaign performance optimization
