Senior Ignition Developer (Remote)

We are working with a well-established engineering services company that delivers automation, controls, and digital transformation solutions across the Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Senior Ignition Developer to their team.

This is a fully remote position with approximately 10% travel to client sites for project kick-offs, commissioning support, and customer meetings.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and deploy Ignition SCADA solutions for a variety of industrial clients
• Lead the development of HMI, SCADA, reporting, and historian applications
• Work closely with controls engineers, project managers, and end users to define system requirements
• Configure and develop Ignition Perspective, Vision, and Reporting modules
• Integrate PLCs, databases, OPC servers, and third-party systems
• Support system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing client support
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and engineers
• Participate in architecture discussions and help establish development best practices

What We're Looking For

• Ideally 10+ years of SCADA development experience
• Preferably 5+ years of hands-on Ignition development experience
• Strong experience with Ignition Perspective and/or Vision
• Experience integrating PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or Emerson
• Solid understanding of industrial networking, OPC UA, databases, and SQL
• Experience developing solutions within Oil & Gas, Renewables, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Utilities, or similar process industries
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with project teams
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Nice to Have

• Inductive Automation Ignition certifications
• Experience with MQTT, Sepasoft, Canary, or AVEVA technologies
• Exposure to cloud-connected industrial applications and IIoT initiatives
• Previous experience leading technical projects or small development teams
