We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead marketing strategy and execution across all channels. This critical leadership role will oversee comprehensive marketing initiatives targeting both healthcare professionals (optometrists and ophthalmologists) as well as consumers (pediatric patients and caregivers). The Marketing Director will be responsible for driving brand awareness, disease state education, and adoption of our pediatric amblyopia treatment through strategic personal and non-personal promotion, digital marketing excellence, and innovative patient engagement
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
○ Develop and implement a comprehensive, insight-driven marketing strategy to drive growth and market penetration
○ Establish clear marketing objectives, KPIs, and measurement plans
○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals
○ Manage marketing budget efficiently to maximize ROI
Physician Marketing
○ Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns for optometrists and ophthalmologists
○ Oversee development of clinical education materials, field sales materials, and other promotional assets for a diverse audience of healthcare professionals including optometrists, ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and other support staff
○ Lead congress planning including sponsorships, booth presence, and associated events including symposia
○ Build collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders in the optometry and ophthalmology communities
○ Partner with field sales to ensure that field materials continuously improve and evolve to meet field needs and address opportunities identified through customer feedback
Caregiver and Patient Marketing
○ Design and execute multi-channel, direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives to raise awareness among parents of children with amblyopia
○ Develop patient education materials and support resources that address caregiver and patient needs and enhance the overall patient experience with Luminopia
Digital Marketing Leadership
○ Drive comprehensive digital marketing strategy across all platforms
○ Optimize website to ensure alignment with overall marketing strategy and customer needs
○ Direct social media strategy to engage both physician and caregiver audiences
○ Develop and deploy email marketing programs to raise awareness, drive physician engagement, and supplement field efforts
Qualifications:
● BA/BS from accredited college or university; MBA or advanced degree preferred
● Passionate about healthcare and the intersection of medicine and technology
● 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with experience in management roles
● Healthcare, medical device, or related industry experience required; Ophthalmology/optometry experience preferred
● Experience working with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory partners to develop materials and tactics that adhere to industry guidelines
● Experience working with and managing external creative agencies
● Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, technologies, and best practices
● Excellent project management and team leadership abilities
● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
● Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
