About The Role

We are looking for aSenior Python Developer to join ourRecommender Team 🎯

The Recommender is one of the key products of Luigi’s Box, delivering personalized product suggestions to visitors on our e-commerce clients’ platforms. By leveraging ML & AI, Luigi’s Box Recommender tailors content based on user preferences, previous behavior and actual intent.

As a senior member of the Recommender Team 🎯 (working alongside Ondrej, Erik, Veronika, and Tadeáš), you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced recommendation engines, enriching product metadata, enhancing personalization features, and more. You will not only contribute to existing projects but also have the opportunity to lead the development of new initiatives. You will also be expected to provide mentorship to junior developers on the team.

What we expect from you

• Proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of core principles.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and adhere to best practices in software development, including testing and code reviews.
• Strong experience in backend development and building web APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases is also a plus.
• Previous experience with AI/ML is advantageous, but not required.
• Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English.
