Senior Software Engineer

At Lucidly, we’re building the customer intelligence platform for SaaS companies. We help revenue teams reduce churn, uncover expansion, and automate workflows with predictive AI.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who loves building end-to-end systems, designing backend services, scaling infrastructure, and making our AI agents come alive in production.

You’ll join a small, high-velocity team and ship features that define a new category of software.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable APIs, orchestration services, and data workflows that power Lucidly.
• Ship and optimize AI agent runtimes on ECS Fargate, connecting to Bedrock, SageMaker, and Azure OpenAI.
• Connect external systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Zendesk, Stripe, Segment, etc.) into Lucidly’s orchestration layer.

Work Across Backend & Infra

• Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js (as needed), REST/gRPC.
• Infra: AWS (Aurora Postgres, ClickHouse, S3, Redis, EventBridge/Step Functions, CloudWatch).
• ML Support: Collaborate with Data Science on model deployment pipelines.
• Frontend Collaboration: Work with React engineers to connect APIs to user-facing workflows.
• Scale Systems: Optimize for performance, reliability, and security as we onboard more SaaS customers.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience building software in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and comfort with SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, S3, RDS/Aurora, Redis, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and deployment (Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code).
• Ability to design scalable APIs and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with data/ML integrations (calling ML models, connecting to warehouses) a plus.
• Startup mindset: bias toward action, scrappy problem-solver, thrives in ambiguity.
