Location: Fully Remote - very strongly prefer PST & strongly prefers CST. They will consider candidates who sit in EST though this is not preferred. Will likely need to work in PST hours.

Salary: $41.17 /hourlyCandidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.
Summary
The main function of a Graphic Designer is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A typical graphic designer needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to client demands, work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems
Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design
Prepare sketches or layouts to present to client
Create charts and graphs from data given
Qualifications
Associate's degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred
8-10 Years Experience Required
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability
Basic ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic and film
Basic ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design
Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images
Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software
This team is within the hardware infrastructure systems org. The purpose of this team is to get assets built for the brand.
Key projects: This role will contribute to brand guide development (Creating a new brand guide for Microsoft's cloud supply chain including cohesive branding across various talent programs and leadership development programs),
graphic design, collaborating with the team to understand different programs and deliverables, creative execution (bringing ideas/visions to life, potentially including minor copywriting tasks such as slogans, team names or taglines), internal and external branding.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, 30% collaboration with the team, 50% heads down (creating assets, providing visuals, etc.).
This role provides the opportunity to work on a blank canvas, allowing them to fully utilize their creativity to develop a cohesive brand guide and various visual assets.

Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 6-8+ overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: Preferred but relevant experience can substitute.
Disqualifiers: Candidates with no graphic design experience will not be eligible for the role.
Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate would have a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. The candidate should be energized and motivated to execute the vision and deliver
high-quality work on time.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines and taking feedback and implementing it.
